The Endowment Fund is created from donations of cash and/or securities. The earnings and up to 25% of the principal may be used annually for causes recommended by the Endowment Committee and approved by the Rotary Club Board of Directors.
Our membership expressed a willingness to combine citizenship, service and philanthropy to make a more visible impact on the quality of life in Central Illinois. Beneficiaries will be organizations and causes consistent with the values and goals of the Rotary Club of Peoria.
A Rotary Endowment Committee, made of existing Board of Directors and Past-Presidents, will develop strategies for growing the endowment and suggesting allocations of funds. Ultimately, the Board of Directors will be responsible for action on proposed activities. The Peoria Area Community Foundation will be responsible for the monies collected.
